Boss IR-2 Amp & IR Cabinet Pedal
The
Boss IR-2 is built into the standard, robust Boss stompbox enclosure and features high-end 32-bit floating-point processing with a 96 kHz sampling rate for life like touch response.
- Amplifier Models: Includes 11 types ranging from Fender cleans (Tweed, Twin) and Vox chimes (Diamond) to high-gain stacks (Brown, Soldano, Rectifier).
- Cabinet IRs: Each amp is paired with a factory-curated Celestion Digital IR. Users can also load their own third-party IRs via the dedicated Boss IR-2 IR Loader software (Mac/Win) and a USB-C connection.
- Controls: Features dual-concentric knobs for Level/Gain, Bass/Middle/Treble, and a dedicated Ambience knob for adding room reverb.
- Connectivity: Equipped with a mono input, stereo outputs, a TRS effects loop (Send/Return) for patching in delays and reverbs after the amp sim, and a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack for silent practice.
- Recording Interface: Functions as a USB-C audio interface, allowing for direct recording into a DAW on a computer or iOS device.
